2nd graders from Incline Elementary School created “John C. Skimont”, their entry in the 13th Annual Dummy Downhill Event held at Diamond Peak on April 7th. Students designed and helped build “Skimont” in engineering class and Diamond Peak generously provided lift tickets, rentals and lessons to reward their hard work. The “Skimont” dummy took overall best entry, skiing a perfect line down Showoff Run and then sticking the landing which brought cheers from the crowd. See Skimont’s perfect run in the video below. Special thanks from IES to Diamond Peak for hosting this great community event.
Enjoy the video from the final day of the Outdoor Leadership Club. We will be starting up a new session in a few weeks!
A group of 5th grade students at IES got together and studied the harmful effects of sugary drinks. It was then time to share their knowledge and urge people to drink water! The students created a video for the “Pour One Out” video contest where they were quite creative with their approach and made the sugary drinks come alive. Enjoy!
