Our second grade students are taking steps to become Junior Park Rangers! They visited with some Nevada State Park Rangers and interviewed them to learn more about what it means to be a Ranger.
A friendly owl left a pellet in Ms. Frederick’s yard. She was so excited to dissect it and enlisted help from a second grade class. They found a complete skeleton but are still trying to identify what type of animal it is. Any thoughts?!
The 2nd graders went on a field trip to Spooner Lake and rotated between 4 stations: water testing, birding, Washoe culture/history, nature hike/scavenger hunt.
